Prenatal Visits

• Private breastfeeding education; “Getting off to a Healthy Start and What to Expect the First 2 Weeks”. Your support partner is welcome.
• A discussion of your birth plan, any questions you have, or health concerns you would like to share.
• A thorough maternal history (including any prior birth experiences) will be documented through MilkNotes™.
• Optional; set-up and demonstration of your breast pump and flange fitting. (*If breast pump was acquired from us)
• Access to the advantages of MilkNotes™ online such as secure messaging with your Lactation Consultant, a view of your personalized care plan, and support documents provided by your Consultant.
• This Prenatal Visit establishes you as a client, making postpartum appointments as easy as scheduling a follow up!
• Once your baby is born, enter their birth information into your portal. Newborns get priority scheduling so contact your Consultant to make your postpartum appointment with Baby. 

Office Visits

• A thorough maternal and infant history (prenatal, birth and feeding) will be documented through MilkNotes™.
• Evaluation of infant oral anatomy and mother’s breasts.
• Observation and assessment of a feeding, milk expression, baby’s feeding cues and response to feeding, ability to transfer milk, and pre- and post-feeding weights to measure volume of milk intake at the breast (BabyWeigh gram scale is used for accuracy).
• Documentation of the findings and plan agreed upon by both mother and consultant are written and the report sent to your care providers. Your care plan is made available to you via MilkNotes‘ Parent Portal.
• Access to the advantages of MilkNotes™ online such as secure messaging with your LC, a view of your personalized care plan, and support documents provided by your LC.

Virtual Care

• A thorough maternal and infant history (prenatal, birth and feeding) will be documented through MilkNotes™.
• A limited visual evaluation of infant oral anatomy and mother’s breasts.
• Observation and assessment of a feeding, milk expression, baby’s feeding cues and response to feeding.
• A Virtual Visit will not include pre- and post-feeding weights to measure volume of milk intake at the breast.
• Documentation of the findings and plan agreed upon by both mother and consultant are written and the report sent to your care providers. Your care plan is made available to you via MilkNotes‘ Parent Portal.
• You will have the same advantages through MilkNotes™ to secure message with your LC as well as access to your personalized care plan and literature provided by your LC.

Please note: Virtual Care visits are covered by certain Insurances at this time. Ask your carrier about coverage.

Pumping Appointment

• This type of appointment is with the breast pump only. Please be sure to bring the pump including your kit and power cord.
• A thorough maternal and infant history (prenatal, birth and feeding) will be documented through MilkNotes™.
• Evaluation of mother’s breasts and ensuring a proper fit of the flanges. Different sized flanges are available as well as soft Flexi-style silicone inserts.
• Assessment and guidance of proper use to make sure you are getting the full benefit of the pump.
• Establishing a manageable pumping schedule in relation to building a milk supply either for a NICU baby, a return to work or other circumstance.
• Documentation of the plan agreed upon by both mother and consultant. Your care plan is made available to you via MilkNotes‘ Parent Portal.
• Access to the advantages of MilkNotes™ online such as secure messaging with your LC, a view of your personalized care plan, and support documents provided by your LC.

Home Visits

We only offer In-Office or Virtual appointments for our Tricare families

•    Measuring and recording weight and a thorough maternal and infant history (prenatal, birth and feeding) will be documented through MilkNotes™.

•    Evaluation of infant oral anatomy and mother’s breasts.

•    Observation and assessment of a feeding, milk expression, baby’s feeding cues and response to feeding, ability to transfer milk, and pre- and post-feeding weights to measure volume of milk intake at the breast (BabyWeigh gram scale is used for accuracy).

•    Documentation of the findings and plan agreed upon by both mother and consultant are written and the report sent to your care providers. Your care plan is made available to you via MilkNotes‘ Parent Portal.
